B O I T T    Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the VEWF software and more FREE DEMO

The focus of PMTS is on optimisation of the work method. Made easy by monitoring the movements of the worker. The software automatically calculates the standard operation time. While stopwatch timing only focusses on time, not the method. Apart from that PMTS can calculate the standard time even before the production has started, thinking in movements. On top of that there is no subjectivity because with every analysis you're guided through the same standard elements and rules.
Because using a stopwatch is actually estimating! The results of stopwatch timing have to be corrected by tempo-rating. Very subjective and nobody is skilled in that technique anymore nowadays. Furthermore you're focussed on the time, and not on the working method.
Our software works flawlessly with Windows and the Microsoft MS-SQL database server software. A lot of companies are in the posession of MS-SQL licenses. If not you can always use the free MS-SQL Express version.
Yes you can. In that way you can profit from each others work. If you copy an operation analysis from a collegue for your own use, the copy will be saved under your name.
In most cases we provide in-house training. We film workstations and analyse the videos, to be used as training material. After that we perform a two days hands-on training. The software is very user-friendly and Windows oriented. The correct analysis of the human movements is more critical.
We can and will support you if it is impossible to arrange for in-house training. We will provide you with our Work-Factor training material, the VEWF software manual and our Powerpoint presentation. Furthermore we will check, comment and if necessary correct your work station analyses. Just send them (and the connected videos) to us by email. Of course the software also has an Help-option. On top of that we can always support you by telephone.
Yes we will. An in-house demo or training is always the best because of the opportunity of analysing real-life situations. We have training material in Dutch, German and English. Don't hesitate to invite us!
That will vary depending on how it is archived. On paper, digital, Excel, other database etc. We will always try to help you with that.
Yes you can. VEWF supports several ways of exporting data. To the clipboard for use in MS-Excel or applications like ERP. To .CSV or Comma Delimited format to import in other databases. And to a .VWF file for import in VEWF databases.
Yes. After analysing the individual work stations you can aggregate them into a production line. One mouseclick displays a graph, which shows you the bottleneck and the differentiation in production times of the work stations.
Yes indeed. For example, with one mouseclick you can see if there is a lot of productive assembling or a lot of non-productive walking happening.
We sure do. Before the installation of the VEWF software we will always contact your IT-department to check the technical circumstances. And we'll support them in the installation process. Afterwards we will continue to support our customers, we offer a special support contract for that.
Yes, we give support in using the software. And when you start we will help you analysing the operations performed at work stations. Send us your video and we will correct and comment on your work station analysis if necessary.
Yes, we have customers working with the Microsoft MS-Azure cloud platform, for example.
